Rory Alec and John Bongiorno of Angel-Mission.org are working to drill fresh water wells to help bring clean drinking water to African villages. When Missionaries bring clean water sources – even in villages where Islam is practiced – this opens up the door to build churches and demonstrate God’s love in practical ways.
Angel Mission and its parent organization GodTV have presented Allison Park Church with a Matching Funds offer – if we as a church family can raise $100K for water wells, it will become $200K through their matching funds!
APC will make it possible for donors to adopt a specific water well. Some may desire to personally invest in the establishment of an entire well. We will provide information on the place, the pastor, the church, and the number of people who live in that region. The goal will be to drill 10 wells in 10 villages all throughout Tanzania and GodTV will match every dollar given toward this ANGEL MISSION PROJECT.
Our 10 wells will be of varied cost based upon size and location.
Our focus will be to drill these water wells in the “unreached” villages in Tanzania. This will provide life-giving water as well as provide the real opportunity to preach the gospel and plant churches in these villages. They will come to know, that just as water is the source of natural life, that Jesus is the source of spiritual life.
There is also the possibility of helping to plant a church in Rwanda in 2010 as well as a missions trip scheduled for September.
Linking compassion ministries with sharing the gospel is a powerful model for changing the world one life at a time.
